My Theme

In the book"She Said Yes" I think that the theme is that you should never let the past interfere with your future. When Misty's daughter dies in the Colombine incident, she keeps dwelling on that her daughter will never return. She then realizes that if she moves on she will be able to live her life a bit more normally. Misty knows that she will always be sad when she thinks about loosing her only daughter, but if she moves on than she can return back to normal life.

My Favorite Character!

My favorite character from my book club book is Mimi. For one, Mimi thinks very outside of the box. When she finds out he has a different father than her four other sisters and her real mother was Haitian she goes into a tizzy. She thinks that she does not belong in America and should go with some crazy scientist across world, to try to find a place where she felt that she fit in. Another trait that I admire about Mimi is that she bends the rules but does not go to extreme. She convinces her younger sister to sneak a ride with Aunty Lilly to New York to finally meet the scientist that caused a man made earthquake. I know this story might sound confusing but once you get into it it's really good. It makes you want to keep reading.

My Favorite Book and What I am Currently Reading!

My favorite book is Dear John by Nickolas Sparks. Dear John and other Realistic Fiction books are my favorite because they could really happen, and most of the time I can personally relate to them. Currently I am reading What Happened to Good-Bye by Sarah Dessen. I just started it so I don't know much about what happens. So far, Mclean has moved all over the place with her dad so he can renovate restaurants as his new job. When she finally settles in Lakeview while her dad is working on Luna Blu, she meets new friends and maybe gets in trouble some. I don't know much more than that so bye!
